HOW DID THEY KNOW?
I just ran downstairs to get lunch. There were a bunch of picketers with signs and a chant that went "if we don't work, nobody works." And they were right! Here I am blogging instead of working. How did they know?

Hi! Where did you pick the word "picketers" to mention those non-working bunch of non-working people??? I mean , what do you mean?
A person that is posted for a demonstration or protest is a picket or picketer. It appears that the persons were demonstrating, albeit peacefully, and therefore qualify as picketers. I think the previous commenter was being a little too sensitive and missed the point that the writer was making. Irony and dry humor are wonderful things and must be appreciated and encouraged.
